about triple threat design

Triple Threat Design provides professional, stage-ready costume, prop, and set décor rentals for school, youth, and community theater productions nationwide. We specialize in large-cast musicals and help productions create a cohesive, polished look without the time, cost, and stress of building everything from scratch.

Our inventory is designed specifically for performance. Costumes, props, and décor are curated to work together visually, sized for real students and adult performers, and built to read clearly under stage lights. Renting allows productions to focus on storytelling and performance while staying on schedule and within budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Triple Threat Design specialize in?

We specialize in theatrical rentals for school and community theater, including costumes, props, and select set décor. Our focus is on large-cast musicals and visually cohesive, stage-ready design.

What types of productions do you support?

We primarily support musical theater productions, especially those with large casts, ensemble-heavy scenes, multiple costume changes, and visually specific design needs.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. We ship costumes, props, and set décor nationwide within the United States. Most clients work with us entirely remotely.

Do we have to rent costumes, props, and set décor together?

No. Costumes, props, and set décor may be rented separately. While these elements are designed to work together visually, they are handled as individual rentals and can be selected based on your production’s needs.

Do you offer full-show rentals or partial rentals?

We offer both. Productions may rent a full costume plot or select specific elements such as principal looks, ensemble costumes, or coordinated props and décor.

Is there a minimum for rentals?

Yes. Minimum rental amounts vary by season. During high-demand periods, especially spring, minimums are higher due to volume, labor, and limited availability. Off-season productions typically have more flexibility.

Can we rent items à la carte?

Yes. À la carte rentals are available, subject to a minimum order requirement. Smaller needs work best when grouped into a focused package, such as ensemble costumes or a specific set of props.

How does the rental process work?

  • Start by reviewing our rental information to get a ballpark of pricing and options

  • We confirm availability based on your show dates and needs

  • To hold your dates, you submit a signed contract and deposit

  • You finalize selections and send measurements by the stated deadline

  • We pull, pack, and ship everything ready for stage

  • After your run, you return the items using the return instructions provided

How far in advance should rentals be booked?

We recommend booking several months ahead whenever possible, especially for popular titles or large casts. January through April are peak rental months, and availability can be limited during that time.

Are your costumes sized for students and adults?

Yes. Our inventory supports a wide range of student and adult sizing, common in school and community theater casts.

What makes your rentals different from other rental shops?

We offer costumes, props, and set décor in one place, which makes it easier to plan a show that looks put together on stage. Everything is designed to work well together, so you are not piecing things together from multiple vendors. Our rentals are made for real productions and large casts, which keeps the process simpler and more consistent from start to finish.

How do your rentals support realistic production budgets?

By renting costumes, props, and set décor, we help productions avoid last-minute purchases, duplicate spending, rushed builds, and long-term storage needs. A coordinated rental keeps costs predictable and lets teams focus their time and energy on the production itself.
